With the development of industrial production, especially the rapid development of the automotive and home appliance industries, aluminum die casting technology has also made great progress. Die casting machines are key equipment in aluminum die casting, and they can be divided into cold chamber and hot chamber types. So, what are the differences in the working modes of these two types of die casting machines? Below is a description of their respective working modes:
Cold Chamber Die Casting Machine
The working mode of this equipment is as follows: First, the mold must be closed, and the molten metal is manually poured into the pressure chamber. When the plunger is relatively low, the injection speed will be slower, and then it enters the chamber and contacts the molten metal level.
Once the upper plunger's injection speed is faster, the molten metal between the lower and upper plungers will also move downwards at the same speed. After filling, the upper plunger will apply pressure.
Hot Chamber Die Casting Machine
The working mode of this equipment is as follows: First, the head plate of the equipment and the mold gate sleeve and nozzle are tightly pressed together, and then the mold is closed. When the injection plunger is in a suitable position, the molten metal will enter the pouring pot from the side L-shaped opening.
When the injection plunger slows down and moves downwards, it will seal the side hole. When the injection plunger rises, the molten metal in the nozzle and gooseneck channel will flow back into the pouring pot. At this time, the head plate and the mold gate sleeve are separated from the nozzle.
From the above text, it can be understood that there are two common classifications of die casting machines: cold chamber die casting machines and hot chamber die casting machines. In comparison, although hot chamber die casting machines have higher working efficiency, their working modes are different, and the processed objects are also different. In the actual production process, everyone can decide which type of die casting machine to use based on the material, type, and precision of the aluminum die-cast product they need.
