The hot chamber die casting machine is simple in structure, easy to operate, and easy to realize automatic production; no pouring procedures are required, the process is simple, and the production efficiency is high; there is little heat loss and metal loss; the metal liquid is always in the closed channel, and the oxidation inclusions are not easy to get involved. The metal liquid entering the cavity is clean and the casting quality is good; the injection pressure is smaller than the pressure, and there is no pressurization section during the injection process; the life of the hot work pieces such as the pressure chamber, punch, gooseneck, and nozzle is short, and it is not convenient to replace.
In the current die-casting production, hot-chamber die-casting machines usually die-cast zinc, tin, lead and other low-melting alloys and small, thin-walled magnesium alloy die castings. Most of the mold clamping force is less than 160t (1.6MN) and less than 400t (4MN). Due to its forming characteristics, magnesium alloys are produced in hot chambers and cold chambers. The mold clamping force of hot chamber machines for producing magnesium alloys is usually less than 650t (6.5MN).
