Cold chamber die-casting machine and hot chamber die-casting machine are two commonly used die-casting equipment. Firstly, a cold chamber die casting machine is a type of non-ferrous metal used to heat aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, and copper alloys in an independent heating furnace. In cold chamber die casting, the casting material is transported to the heating furnace for melting, and after the melting is completed, the casting material is injected into the equipment in one go. This heating method can effectively prevent the oxidation of casting materials during the heating process, thereby improving the quality of castings.


In contrast, hot chamber die-casting machines typically use metals such as steel or ferroalloys as casting materials. In a hot chamber die casting machine, the casting material is heated to a specific temperature and then enters the mold through a needle or nozzle under pressure, forming the required casting product. Compared with cold chamber machines, hot chamber machines have higher requirements for machining integrity and accuracy.


Secondly, compared to hot chamber pressure, cold chamber machines have higher production efficiency and shorter cycles. Due to the fact that the casting material can be injected after a single heating in the cold chamber machine, the production time can be greatly reduced. At the same time, hot chamber pressure requires a longer time to heat the casting material, so its productivity is relatively low.


Meanwhile, although there are some differences in casting materials, processes, and production efficiency between cold chamber die-casting machines and hot chamber machines, they can both produce high-quality casting products. Especially with the advancement of technology, these differences have gradually narrowed in certain aspects, providing more choices and possibilities.


In addition, there are differences in production costs between cold chamber machines and hot chamber machines. The service life of the hot chamber machine is relatively short, and the casting and forming speed is fast, but the production cost is also relatively high; The service life of the cold chamber machine is longer because the casting time is relatively long and the production cost is lower.


Both cold chamber die-casting machines and hot chamber die-casting machines have value in the casting industry, but each has its own advantages and limitations. When choosing, it is important to pay attention and choose the appropriate die-casting equipment based on the production process of die-casting.
