How to repair if the top pin of the hot chamber die casting machine does not return to its original position?

Nowadays, the production of die-casting parts has become mechanized, and the emergence of hot chamber die-casting machines has greatly improved the production efficiency of die-casting parts. However, when using hot chamber die-casting equipment, various problems will be encountered, some of which are small problems that can be solved with simple handling, such as the ejector pin not returning to its original position.

 

When encountering such faults, how can the ejector pin of the hot chamber die-casting machine not return to its original position be repaired?
Clarify the reason why the ejector pin cannot return. Generally speaking, there are several reasons for this issue:


One is that there is too much dirt or oil on the surface of the ejector pin, which increases the friction force between the ejector pin and the mold surface;


Secondly, poor lubrication leads to increased friction between the ejector pin and the mold, and even causes the ejector pin to bend and deform;
Thirdly, due to insufficient air pressure, the ejector pin cannot return to its original position based on the judgment of the applied force. These issues can be resolved through corresponding maintenance methods.


For the first scenario, it is necessary to clean the ejector pin to remove excessive dirt and oil on the surface. You can use professional cleaning agents to soak the needle for a period of time (depending on the severity of the stain), then rinse it with clean water and wipe it dry with a towel.


For the second scenario, lubrication is required. Lubrication is very important, and good lubrication can effectively reduce the friction between the ejector pin and the surface of the mold, avoid deformation and damage to the ejector pin, and improve the service life of the equipment.


Before lubrication, the surface of the ejector pin needs to be cleaned thoroughly. Then apply lubricating oil to the surface of the ejector pin, or add lubricating oil to the lubricating oil tank of the hot chamber die-casting machine. Special attention should be paid to selecting high-quality lubricating oil to ensure lubrication effectiveness.


For the third scenario, it is necessary to check whether the air source meets the requirements, ensuring that the air source is sufficient and the pressure is stable. If the air flow rate or pressure is insufficient, check whether the air supply pipeline, filter, and regulator are normal, and repair or replace faulty components in a timely manner.


Regular maintenance and upkeep plays a crucial role in the performance and lifespan of equipment. It can reduce the occurrence of faults.


When using the hot chamber die casting machine, if you find that the top pin does not return to its original position, there is no need to be nervous.

 

Patiently investigate the problem and identify the cause, and the problem will be easily solved. Once the ejector pin does not return, it will lead to the quality of the die casting not meeting expectations. Therefore, regardless of the cause of the ejector pin not returning, it needs to be carefully resolved.
